Biennial
For a few years now, I’ve been building and nurturing the universe of the character “Nicolas Inventor.” It’s something I truly love—as a friend once told me, it’s my therapy...
The book release was scheduled for mid-August 2026, and by coincidence, the São Paulo International Book Biennial was set to take place the following month, right here in my hometown. It is simply the largest literary event in Brazil and Latin America, second only to the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) in Mexico.
Back then, I was talking to a fellow author and mentioned that I was going to the Biennial to sell my books. He asked me: "Do you have a booth?" I answered: "No, I don't have anything." He replied: "So you're going to be a street vendor at the event." I said: "Yes!" And I thought to myself: I’ll do it with all my heart. What’s the problem with being a street vendor? Who am I anyway? I’m not famous or anything like that.
About five days passed, and I decided to print a run of books with Fábrica do Livro. While researching on their website, I discovered that printing above a certain quantity would earn me four hours at their booth to display my work. However, as an independent author, I didn't have all the funds and printed only a quarter of the required amount. I asked if there might still be space to display my book, and they politely told me no. I thanked them and said: "Alright, thank you."
A few hours later, Mr. Pedro reached out and graciously offered me space to exhibit my work. I was beyond thrilled! I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity provided by Fábrica do Livro.
And so, the book launch took place at the biggest event in Brazil. But the dream doesn't stop here: my big goal and vision for the future is to bring “Nicolas Inventor” to the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) in Germany—the largest and most important publishing event in the world.

Já estou há alguns anos cuidando do universo do personagem “Nicolas Inventor”, é algo que gosto; como um amigo me falou, isso é a minha terapia...
O lançamento do livro estava previsto para meados de agosto de 2026 e, por coincidência, no mês seguinte iria ocorrer a Bienal Internacional do Livro de São Paulo, aqui na cidade onde moro. Ela é simplesmente o maior evento literário do Brasil e da América Latina, ficando atrás apenas da Feira Internacional do Livro de Guadalajara (FIL), no México.
Na época, conversava com um amigo também autor e eu dizia que iria à Bienal vender meus livros. Ele me perguntou: "Mas você tem um stand?". Eu respondi: "Não, não tenho nada.". Ele completou: "Então você vai ser um camelô (ou ambulante) no evento.". Eu disse: "Sim!". E pensei: farei de todo o meu coração, qual o problema de ser um ambulante, quem sou eu? Não sou famoso, nem nada do tipo.
Passaram-se uns 5 dias e resolvi imprimir uma remessa de livros na Fábrica do Livro. Pesquisando no site deles, descobri que se eu imprimisse a partir de determinada quantidade ganharia 4 horas no stand da Fábrica do Livro para expor. Porém, como sou um autor independente, não tinha todo o dinheiro e imprimi apenas um quarto da quantidade exigida. Perguntei a eles se ainda haveria espaço para expor e, educadamente, me disseram que não. Eu agradeci e disse: "Está bem, obrigado."
Passadas umas horas, o Sr. Pedro me chamou e cedeu gentilmente o espaço para que eu pudesse expor. Fiquei mega feliz! Sou muito grato pela oportunidade dada pela Fábrica do Livro.
Então aconteceu o lançamento do livro no maior evento do Brasil. Mas o sonho não para por aqui: minha grande meta e visão de futuro é levar “Nicolas Inventor” para a Feira do Livro de Frankfurt (Frankfurter Buchmesse), na Alemanha — o maior e mais importante evento editorial do planeta.
